Jerry Capell, President
|
Jerry Capell is a Managing Director with Navigant Consulting, Inc. where he most recently led the firms international
Insurance and Reinsurance Practice. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan where he earned a BBA in accounting
and finance in 1985. Jerry lives in Chicago with his partner Kevin O’Brien and their two adopted children, Harris James
and Maya Rose. He has served on the board of Adoption Link for six years, currently as President of
the Board.

Mark Melickian, Vice President and Secretary
|
Mark Melickian, an attorney and partner with FSB Legal Counsel LLP, has served on the Board since 2007 and currently
holds the position of Vice-President and Secretary of the Board. He lives in Oak Park with his wife, Erin, two children
(Ben and Grace), and various four-legged mammals.

Debra Juarez, Director
|
Debra Juarez is President of DECA Productions, Inc., a video production company located in Oak Park, Illinois.
Debra, a former television news executive, has written and produced fundraising videos for Adoption-Link.
In 2006, she traveled to Ethiopia to produce the documentary, "We are Still Here." The film profiles
Adoption-Link Executive Director Margaret Fleming and her work to promote the adoption of HIV positive
children.

Victoria Barbosa , Director
|
Victoria Barbosa, MD, MPH, MBA is a board-certified dermatologist, educator and author. She is an assistant
professor in the Rush University Department of Dermatology and owns the education and consulting company,
Dermal Insights, Inc. She is a proud adoptive parent and has been on the board of Adoption Link since 2008.

David Goroff, Director
|
David Goroff is a partner at the law firm of Foley & Lardner LLP where he serves as the National Chair of the Firm's
Appellate Practice Group and is a member of its Litigation Department. He has a J.D from Columbia Law School, where he
was Notes & Comments Editor of the Columbia Law Review and a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. He received his B.A summa cum
laude from the University of Illinois-Urbana. In addition to Adoption Link, he also serves on the Board of Directors and
the Executive Committee of the ACLU of Illinois. He and his husband, Jay Behel, have two children. They adopted their
daughter Miriam through Adoption Link.
